Data cabling Technician

Key Responsibilities

* Install cable trays, ladder racks, basket trays and cable support systems.
* Measure, cut, assemble and secure cable tray systems.
* Install and route data, fibre and telecommunications cables.
* Read and work from drawings, plans and site instructions.
* Ensure cables are correctly supported, separated and neatly routed.
* Carry out cable pulling and cable management.
* Use hand tools and power tools safely.
* Work at heights and in ceiling spaces where required.
* Work alongside electricians, data cablers, fibre technicians and other trades.
* Maintain a clean and organised work area.
* Follow site Health & Safety requirements and procedures.
* Complete work to a high standard and within required timeframes.

Skills & Experience

* Previous experience in telecommunications, data cabling, cable installation or cable tray work.
* Practical knowledge of cable routing and cable management.
* Ability to use hand and power tools.
* Ability to read basic plans and drawings.
* Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
* Reliable, punctual and hardworking attitude.
* Ability to work at heights, in ceiling spaces and on construction sites.
* Good attention to detail.
