Part-Time Accountant | 30 hrs/week | Auckland

Movogo is reinventing car ownership for New Zealanders. We're building an experience that handles the admin, keeps things on time, and uses real humans for the moments when life happens and things need a conversation. From finance to subscriptions, we match ownership costs to your pay cycle, so people can get into a car and keep it — safe, well maintained, and without the stress.

We're growing fast, and we're looking for an experienced, hands-on Accountant to keep our books accurate and current, 30 hours a week until Christmas. We plan to launch the business in January and we expect that the size and nature of the role will change as we grow.

- Processing supplier invoices in our accounting system (Xero)
- Loading and processing payments through internet banking
- Processing new loan settlements, NZTA reg and RUC's
- Completing bank, supplier, and loan book reconciliations
- Reporting through to trial balance each month

- At least 2 years' experience in an accounts or accountant role, including accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and ledger work through to trial balance
- Experience with Xero (or a comparable cloud accounting platform, with a willingness to get up to speed on Xero fast — we're mid-transition onto it now)
- Comfort processing payments through internet banking, with a careful eye on accuracy
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach — but pragmatic, not a box-ticker
- Confidence working independently in a part-time role
