Dispensary Technician - PACT Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced Dispensary Technician to join the team at Unichem Manurewa Pharmacy. This role is ideal for a qualified Level 5 Dispensary Technician looking to progress their career, with the opportunity to grow into a senior technician role while working towards PACT accreditation.
Working alongside our pharmacists, you'll help deliver patient-centred care in a busy, modern dispensary. As part of our close-knit team, you'll gain experience across diverse pharmacy services, including medication management for residential care facilities and specialist care providers, aseptic dispensing, and pharmacy robotics and automation.
- Managing a variety of pharmacy services, including LTC services, residential care, aseptic dispensing, and pharmacy automation.
- Building positive relationships with patients and healthcare providers.
- Dispensing prescriptions while maintaining high standards of accuracy and safety.
- Supporting dispensary workflow and collaborating with pharmacists and the wider healthcare team.
Essential:
- A recognised New Zealand Level 5 Pharmacy Technician qualification.
- Around two years' post-qualification dispensary experience is preferred, although we welcome applications from technicians nearing this level of experience.
- A genuine interest in progressing towards PACT accreditation.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safe, accurate dispensing.
- Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work effectively in a busy, team-oriented environment.
Preferred:
- Experience with pharmacy automation and robotics.
- Experience delivering or supporting Long-Term Conditions (LTC) services.
- A current restricted or full New Zealand driver licence (or actively working towards obtaining one).
- Receive ongoing training and mentorship from experienced pharmacists to support your growth towards PACT accreditation.
