Barista & Front Of House

We're looking for a friendly Barista & Front of House person to join the team at Bayon Cafe & Eatery in Napier. You'll be the first face our customers see—making their coffee, taking orders, and keeping the cafe running smoothly. It's a fast-paced, social role where no two days are the same, and you'll get to chat with regulars and help them have a good experience. If you're keen to learn, have a genuine smile, and want to get started in hospitality, this could be the perfect spot.

- Make coffee and other drinks using our espresso machine and learning our recipes
- Greet customers, take orders, and keep things friendly at the counter
- Keep the cafe clean, tidy, and well-stocked throughout your shift
- Work the till and handle payments
- Help out with food prep and plating when needed
- Support the team during busy periods

- No experience necessary—we'll teach you everything
- A friendly attitude and willingness to chat with customers
- Ability to work at a good pace, especially during morning and lunch rushes
